The “GS” translated stands for “safetytested.” The TÜV Rheinland GS Mark is a voluntary test mark that is highly regarded by German and European consumers and manufacturers. The mark is attached to a product to highlight that a third party has tested the product’s safety and other requirements and that a continuous production control is maintained.
The TÜVRheinland GS Mark demonstrates that:
• A representative sample of the product has been evaluated, tested and approved for safety and other requirements
• The production line is inspected on an annual basis
• There is a potential marketing advantage, since it is a voluntary mark
