Safety comes first in all of our thoughts and actions. The laboratory of TÜV Rheinland EPS in Niekerk can perform tests in the context of the Low Voltage Directive (LDV Directive), which came into effect on 1 January 1997. Equipment subject to this directive simply cannot be placed on the market without the CE mark. TÜV Rheinland EPS is designated by the government in our country as a Notified Body to test your equipment against the LDV Directive.
All equipment that uses a voltage between 50 and 1000 Volts AC or 75 to 1500 Volts DC has to meet the LDV Directive. This guarantees safety in the mechanical and electrical safety area. You as a manufacturer are in principle able to state yourself that your product is in conformity with the LDV Directive. If there are any problems or claims, you will have to demonstrate that that is actually the case. It is more advisable to have TÜV Rheinland EPS ascertain whether your product is in conformity with the LDV Directive at an earlier stage. That strengthens your position. But even more importantly: you considerably reduce the chance of problems and claims!
